Welcome to Abdulqadir Islamic
High School !
Abdulqadir Islamic
High School, located in a rather under developed area, is a
free-for-all school, teaching well over one thousand pupils.
Although being a
relatively small school with limited resources and on a very
tight budget, AIHS is competing with all the big names in the
region and has produced 100% pass results in all Board
Examinations held over the last few years. Not only this, AIHS
has a history of securing a multiple of prominent positions in
every Board Examination. It's teachers are motivated and the
student enthusiastic to outperform all others.
It is fascinating to
mention that pupils from this school have gone on to win
Provincial Level awards in competitions set by the Chief
Minister of Punjab,
Mian Shehbaz Shariff,
outperforming students from all over the Punjab. This is a big
endorsement of the quality teaching that is provided at
Abdulqadir Islamic High School, especially considering that
these competitions are normally dominated by students coming
from the big names such as Lahore Grammar, Beacon House and The
Educators along with other well established and extremely
expensive chains.
AIHS was founded in
2003 by
Al-Haaj Chaudhary Mushtaq Ahmed,
Principal Abdulqadir Islamic High School with the advice and
guidance of
Muhammad Ashraf Choudhary,
Principal Bristol College of Accountancy (UK). Starting out from
a couple of classrooms and a couple of shops used as classrooms
where pupils sat on the floor, this school soon became the place
to study in the area. Although a large number of parents were
not able to afford any fee, the Principal, Chaudhary Mushtaq
Ahmed, welcomed all. This ultimately meant that he was teaching
a large number of students for free, had to employ his family
members to teach for very little pay, and struggled to meet the
expenses.
This dedication and
hard work soon paid off, the school became very popular very
quickly, and regularly secured top position in external exams.
The Punjab
Education foundation (PEF),
having reviewed the school's performance over the years with
it's limited resources, offered to provide funding to the school
in 2007.
All students have
been studying for free since. There are no admission charges and
all necessary learning materials are provided free of cost.
The school has grown
enormously over the last few years, and now has 26 classrooms
and a small library and an IT lab. It has a teaching staff
of 32, administrative staff of 4, a security guard and a full
time carer.
The Principal,
Chaudhary Mushtaq Ahmed, has become a very well respected figure
in the local community, is well known in the education sector
and has received much praise from Education authorities as well
as government officials.

Breaking News:
!NEW
BUILDING FOR AIHS!
AIHS, with
the assistance of Bristol College of Accountancy (UK) has purchased a
very large plot of land with a view to construct a new state of the
art facility on it.
This new
facility will be built to British Standards, and will have modern
facilities such as a Computer IT Lab, Physics and Chemistry
Labs, a Library and a large auditorium with an overhead projector.
This will be
an entirely new school, comparable to the best, and very expensive
schools of Pakistan. All current students will be moved to the new
facility and will continue to study for free, in a much better
environment with enhanced learning opportunities.
The building
works will start by the end of 2011.
This new
facility is being financially sponsored by Bristol College of
Accountancy, and will be built under their supervision.
Bristol
College of Accountancy will also take a more prominent role in
defining the new learning methods to be employed in the new school.
We are
thankful to Bristol College of Accountancy for their support and
supervision over the past years and look forward to a long lasting
relationship with them.
We also find
it important to mention that a number of our students have
successfully enrolled on programmes at Bristol College of Accountancy
and are currently studying with them in the UK.
This new
venture will only strengthen our relationship and more of our student
will be able to study in the UK upon completing their studies with us.
